Happy Summer, Top Dogs!

I saw this quote today, and thought it was perfect for the end of the school year. If only I could live by it and not cry on the last day of school! :) We had a wonderful school year! I hope you have watched the DVD and shown off your cool picture frame!

"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."  ~Dr. Seuss

I miss all of my Top Dogs so much, and it's only been one day! I am looking forward to seeing you all this summer! Make sure you write those letters to me! :) Have a super summer and remember to READ, READ, READ!!

Miss you guys,
Mrs. Delzer

Madi and Duds Visit The Doghouse

I'm not sure if the Top Dogs have told you about our Third Grade Countdown or not, but here is the scoop. Each day we pop a balloon that has a secret note inside it. On the note there is something written that is super fun and something extra to do that day. Some of the things inside the balloons have been field trips, Mrs. Delzer plays outside at recess, pizza party, do a fun project, and plant flowers for our moms. Today, Madi and Dudley visit The Doghouse was in the balloon. Madi was pretty nervous the whole time, but Duds ran around licking and wagging his tail.

Here is an awesome sign I just bought for my house that I think is good advice for people of all ages:

DOG LESSONS
Life is short, pet often.
Wag more, bark less.
Be loyal and faithful.
Love unconditionally.

Tie-Dye, a Mystery Reader, and Some Snoozing Top Dogs

We had a blast tie dying our t-shirts last Thursday. They turned out awesome, and will be coming home tomorrow (Wednesday). Please remind your Top Dog to wear it on Friday for the last day of school! I handed my camera off to a few kids, and here are some pictures they took!

I also have a great picture of Leslie Brouse, our last Mystery Reader of the year. She brought Jaxon's big sister, Brooklyn with! We loved your book, The Magic Hockey Stick. It is definitely a must-read!

The last few pictures I could not **resist** putting on the blog. On the way to Rydell on Monday, these Top Dogs were snoring before we were even 10 miles of out town - not kidding! I had to take the pictures to share with you! What a riot! :) I will say they had plenty of energy once we arrived at Rydell! :)

Smile on,
Mrs. Delzer

Reuse a Shoe Pizza Party!

Back in April, I had promised the Top Dogs that if they brought in the most shoes to recycle at Challenger, I would throw them a pizza party. Can you believe they brought in 63 total pairs of shoes for this great cause? It feels good to recycle shoes, and know that we are doing something good for our awesome Earth! We were so excited to chart the number of shoes we had, and REALLY excited that we beat Mr. Delzer's class!!! Woo hoo! Here are the pictures from our pizza party! YUM!

Way to go kiddos,
Mrs. Delzer :)
