A Special Surprise :-)

Hey Top Dogs! I have a VERY special surprise to show you when you get to The Doghouse next Tuesday! I worked in our classroom all day, and I can't wait for you guys to FINALLY see it!

Here are 3 hints about the special surprise for you:
1. It is made of wood and bright red.
2. It is so big that Mr. Delzer had to take it apart to fit it through the classroom door, and rebuild it in our classroom!
3. Usually dogs sleep in it, but our Star of the Week will get to read in it! :)

Do you have any guesses???

<3 Your new teacher,
Mrs. Delzer

P.S. Did you read my other note about the binder? I accidentally wrote a 3 inch binder on our supply list instead of a 1 inch binder! Oops!!

WELCOME NEW TOP DOGS!!!

Did you go to the lake this summer? We sure did! Meet Dudley and Madi Mae, my two puppies! :)
Hi second graders! I am so happy to see that you are checking out your brand new 2nd grade blog! This is a very fun place where I will post pictures, videos, and notes about things happening in The Doghouse! I am way too excited to meet you all, but I will have to wait 2 more weeks until the first day of school! If you have any questions before then, or just want to say "hi", you can send me an e-mail at kdelzer@trf.k12.mn.us.

I also have 1 more important announcement! I goofed up and wrote that you need a 3 inch binder for your DOG Book. It should have said 1 inch binder! I am so sorry! If  you already got the 3 inch binder, it will work. Otherwise, a 1 inch binder would work better! Thank you!!!

Enjoy your last weeks of summer!

<3 Toodles,
Mrs. Delzer :O)

PS Madi Mae and Duds think you are going to LOVE being a 2nd grader in The Doghouse! :)

Teaching Teachers

I have to tell you about a very fun day that I had yesterday! I spent the afternoon teaching a group of teachers at Lakota Schools how to make teacher blogs! They all LOVED our Top Dog Teaching blog! I am so excited to show you what they worked on and everything they are learning at their schools! It is sure different teaching teachers than it is teaching kids! Good luck with your blogs, Lakota teachers! You all rock!

:) Mrs. Delzer

Boys Will Be Boys :-)

In July, Mr. Delzer and I met up with 4 little monkeys and took them golfing! Do you recognize any of these faces? We went to Dairy Queen afterwards for a treat.  It was such a FUN day!!!

It's not too late to meet up this summer! If you want to go for a walk with Madi Mae and Duds, go to the park, go mini golfing, or go "real" golfing, have your mom or dad email me - kdelzer@trf.k12.mn.us! I want to see you! I hope you are having a fun summer! You are less than a month away from starting third grade!

Toodles,
Mrs. Delzer :)
