10,000+ Page Views PARTY!

I can't believe our blog almost has 11,000 page views already! Here is a picture from our 10,000 page views party! This picture cracks me up each time I look at it! You guys are HILARIOUS!

CELEBRATE!!! WOO HOO!!!

Thanks for checking our blog everyday and helping us reach our goal of 10,000 page views. Our new goal is 15, 000 page views by the end of the school year. I think we can do it easily! We might need to change it to a higher number. We will talk about it when we get back to school together in January.

I miss you all, but I am enjoying my break with my family! Tori is here from Oregon and I only get to see her twice a year. I have been busy with the puppies, reading for fun, playing games, eating WAY too much food, and watching movies. I hope you are having fun, too! :)

See you soon lovebugs!!

Hugs,
Mrs. Delzer <3

More Bingle Pictures

Here are some pictures of Bingle from the last week of school before break. Some were posted to twitter and some were not. I can't believe what a little stinker he turned out to be! On the last day before break, Bingle left us a picture of himself at the North Pole making donuts for Santa. We will miss you Bingle, but we are happy to know you made it back home safely! Thanks for spending some time with us in The Doghouse!

Toodles,
Mrs. Delzer <3

Merry Christmas to my Top Dogs and their awesome families! I hope you are enjoying your break! I have been reading your comments on the blog and emails, too! Madi and Duds are doing awesome. Santa spoiled them rotten! Here are a few pictures of the fun we are having. Duds keeps us laughing everyday, and Madi is her usual snugglebug self.

Don't forget to check twitter for updates over the break! @tweetingtopdogs

Duds "unwrapping" his treats from Santa!

Dudley's new pink glasses help him read better, and they are SO high fashion! Do you think he looks smarter?

Chris decided we all needed a picture holding our pups. Who do you think is working the hardest? :)

Thank you ZANE!

This week Zane Gothberg, a goalie for the University of North Dakota hockey team was our Mystery Reader! He came on Polar Express Day, so of course he read The Polar Express! He also showed us all of his gear that came in a HUGE bag, and explained what each part of his gear does and why he wears it. My favorite part of his gear is his awesome helmet! He explained that one side of his helmet has a drawing of Ralph Engelstad on it as an acknowledgment to the former UND goalie from Thief River Falls. He also told us about a tribute to his Grandma Susie on the back of his helmet, who got him so interested in hockey and "always has his back". He stayed for 90 minutes and signed over 100 items! He answered every question the kids had. The icing on the cake: he autographed a stick he has used to "the best 2nd grade class ever". It is hanging in our classroom! He even signed our Challenger Doghouse!

What a stand-up guy! Thank you Zane for all you did for us! We appreciate you so much and wish you luck this season!

Your 23 biggest fans,
Mrs. Delzer's Top Dogs

Zane tried on his bloomers for us! We thought this was hilarious!

Testing out the pads on Zane's bloomers :)

Meet Bingle, Our Mischievious Elf on the Shelf

Last Friday, we were all surprised to find an Elf hanging on our anchor chart clothesline! Coby pointed him out to me! Sure enough, he was hanging there holding an orange flag. We found flags all over our classroom! That little stinker!

He hung out there until we went to music. When we got back, he had broken into the cookies from Mrs. Tveiten, hopped into Mrs. Delzer's mug, and was munching on a cookie with our puppy under the tree. We think he is a little stinker! Look at him check out the puppy and protect his cookie. :)

We took a class vote and we narrowed down 12 names to one, and here is what we came up with: Bingle. We know we can't touch him or he will lose his Christmas magic. We also know he watches us all day to see if we are naughty or nice, and he reports back to Santa in the North Pole each night. We have been talking to him, and Ava even showed him her Christmas list! I wonder if Bingle will be back tomorrow and what kind of mischief he will be up to!

See you Tomorrow Lovebugs,
Mrs. Delzer <3

MATH ROCKS OUR SOCKS OFF!

Here is a little math update for everybody! We will take our math test next week before the big Christmas break. Check the newsletter or twitter for the exact date. In the meantime, here are some pictures of math activities we have been up to. We learned the difference between inches and centimeters, and had fun working with math partners to measure different things and places in The Doghouse.  They just love those tape measures!!!

We also ordered some three digit ornaments from smallest to greatest. For this activity, I told the kids they could work with partners or alone. I also told them to work wherever they feel they learn best. You can see some kids chose a partner, and we were spread out throughout the whole room! First, we sorted the cards and then we wrote them from smallest to greatest. This was a little tricky because there were lots of cards to sort! We did it though! :) I really *admire* how hard these kids work everyday! Have a great weekend, Top Dogs! Check back later for our class picture from our 10,000+ page view party and Hat Day!

Hugs from me to you,
Mrs. Delzer <3

PS Are you following us on twitter yet? Do it today! We are up to 18 followers! :)  @tweetingtopdogs
