Read Across America Day - Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Today we celebrated Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss' Birthday! We had 3 (yes 3!) guest readers come to our classroom. The first 2 readers came in early this morning from Lincoln High School, and they did an awesome job!! Thank you Whitney Balmer (Koen's sister) and Becca Housek! We made hats, did puzzles, and even listened to Tim Tebow and Justin Bieber read on YouTube! What a day!

Our last Mystery Reader of the day was ... (drumroll please) Mr. Marolt! He read A Fine, Fine School to us and gave us all pencils and tattoos! Cool! Thank you for stopping in Mr. Marolt!!

Have a fabulous weekend, Top Dogs!

  1. Wow. That looked like a lot of fun. I had both Whitney and Becca in class. They are great, great students. What other books does your class love to read? My daughter (who is three) can't get enough of "The True Story of the Three Little Pigs" by Lane Smith. Let me know what you guys like so I can share them with my daughter when she is big like you. Have a great day. It's fun getting a peak in at your classroom. It sure looks like a lot of fun.
