Asking or Telling Sentences and a Sioux Win

Even though we had a very short week of school last week, we spent a lot of time working on learning if sentences are asking or telling sentences. We are going to be working hard on putting the right punctuation mark at the end of our sentences for the rest of the year. This can be a tricky concept for 2nd graders, and we did a few different activities to practice these concepts. I took some pictures of the Top Dogs working on Asking or Telling flip books. Check them out below!!

I hope you are having a SIOUX-per weekend, Top Dogs! Mr. Delzer and I went to the Sioux hockey game last night with Justin and Michelle Skjerven and their baby, Jordyn. Here's the best part... the Sioux won! Zane Gothberg played goalie for 2 periods. He is from TRF, and he comes to read to my class every year. I am working out a date for this year, too! Yahoo!!  When we were walking in, a man stopped me to talk about the hockey team and hockey season on the Channel 11 news. I was nervous!! There are a couple of pictures of the Sioux game on the bottom of this post!

Remember there is no school tomorrow, so I will see your big smiles on Tuesday!

Go Sioux,
Mrs. Delzer

Mrs. Delzer loves it when the Sioux win!! :)
