We're BATTY for 2nd Grade! :)

Our Book of the Month this month is Stellaluna, and yesterday we voted on whether or not we would recommend it to other readers. Today we read a nonfiction book about bats, and compared and contrasted the two books. We talked about what facts are, and made a huge list of facts about bats today on the SMART board. I printed it out, and sent it home because lots of the kids wanted a copy. What in the wide world of sports would we do without our SMART board!?! To show what we know, we made a bat craftivity (craft + writing activity) and picked one bat fact to write about. These cool projects are hanging on the doors outside our classroom. Make sure you check them out next week when you come to conferences! :)

Your batty teacher,

Mrs. Delzer :)
