VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

Today is the first day of a week full of voting activities in The Doghouse! We started the day by making our Voter Registration Cards and heading down to the commons to vote for a lunch choice - popcorn chicken or pizza. We handed our registration card over to several candidates running for different positions, and got all signed up to vote. We had lots of compliments on our manners and registration cards while we were voting! YAHOO!! *Proud teacher moment* :)

Later on, we read Grace for President and My Teacher For President. We did a telling time page with the presidents and put some election words in ABC order.

During the afternoon, we did a writing activity about voting for a teacher for President. Mrs. Delzer was running for President against Mr. Delzer. The good news is that all boys and girls in our class voted for ME!! YIPEEEE! The bad news is... Mr. Delzer has more kids in his class, so he got more votes. We put signs in each other's classrooms asking for votes, and had a great time picking a President. I only took a few pictures, so come check out all of the writing from both classes by Mrs. Johnson's music room. They turned out awesome!!!

Don't forget to get out and VOTE tomorrow! All kids can do Kid's Voting at the Ralph, no matter where they live! The class with the most kids voting will get a Pizza Party! Let's do it!!
