We kicked off a brand new reading unit all about Nonfiction texts this week, and we have to admit, we are LOVING every single second of it. One of our lessons this week focused on how readers read Nonfiction books out loud using a different voice that sounds like a newsman voice or an explaining voice. To help us better understand how this sounds, we watched some Jeff Corwin videos on Discovery Planet. If you want to watch the videos again, you can click the link here: Jeff Corwin Videos on Discovery.

Here are some pictures I snapped while I was walking around listening to the Top Dogs practice using their explaining voices while reading to someone. They did such a nice job with this lesson! **Proud teacher moment**! :)

Your Proud Teacher,
Mrs. Delzer <3
