We are ready for March!

Did you know March is Read Across America month? We are so ready for it and the warmer weather, too! Check out these projects we made to get ready for Dr. Seuss' birthday on March 2nd! We can't wait!

The Cat in the Hat drawings were a two day project. First, the kids painted the blue background with tempera paint by blending a dark blue to a light blue. The next day, they drew their own Cat in the Hat and colored it with oil pastels. Finally, they cut out their drawing VERY CAREFULLY and glued it on their background they painted. Our helper, Jodi laminated them for us. I think they look awesome! Thanks, Jodi!

The other bulletin board is found right by the front office. These were so fun to make today! We took a picture of their face with our iPads, printed them out, and added some other parts to make a Cat in the Hat. I love the trees from The Lorax we put with them. It really completed the project! :) Stop by soon to see it!

PS Miss Reese and I are looking forward to parent teacher conferences tomorrow and Monday! We can't wait to share all of the amazing things you have done this year! :)
