Blogger of the Week: Meet Ali

Hi! My name is Alison. I am  blogger of the week and I have been waiting for it for a long time. Being blogger of the week is so fun. #topdog

We are working on filling buckets and making people have great days. We are working on supporting other people with bucket fillers. Maybe you could try giving someone a bucket filler or a compliment. #benice

Miss Hassel brought some eggs to our room. It is very cool because one egg cracked into two egg yolks. It was twins! #food

We worked on homophones. We are done with there/their/they're. We also learned to/two/too. With homophones they sound the same but mean different things. #they'retheretheir

Okay we have steps on how to learn in our classroom. You learn a new skill, practice the skill, quiz on the skill. Then you will sometimes make mistakes. Next, you get help.  Then you figure out what went wrong and fix mistakes. You practice the skill and requiz on the skill. Last, you accomplish the skill. #learning

Most often when you read a book you will make either a text to text connection, text to self connection, or a text to world connection. Like, when we read Grandma's Ring we had lots of text to text and text to self connections. Sometimes we have text to world connections. Readers make connections because it helps them understand the book better. It is always good to make connections because it makes your comprehension better and you get smarter. #read
Thanks for reading my blog post. If you have questions or comments for me you can leave them below. #thanks
