Compound Words Fun!

Last week we worked really hard on learning compound words. To make a compound word, take two real words, and squish them together to make a new, bigger, real word! We did a few different activities throughout the week to practice these fun words.

I found a YouTube video of compound words for you to watch, but beware - this song will get stuck in your head! :)

Check out pictures of one of our compound words activities below!! We had a lot of fun learning and practicing compound words! You can click on the pictures to make them bigger and read the writing.

Remember tomorrow is a Prowler Pride day, and we have a spelling test!

Toodles,
Mrs. Delzer

  1. This song is precious....thank you so much for sharing it!

I love to teach compound words. One of my favorite compound words activities is to have a taste party. We eat blueberries, blackberries, watermelon, etc. The kiddos LOVE it!

I am happy to be the newest follower of your adorable blog. I would love for you to hop over and visit me when you get the chance.
